Today was a big day for Nicholas.
He woke up with sunshine locks and went to bed
looking like he had stepped out of a 90s Ambercrombie catalog.
He had his mission photos today at the house,
and a missionary haircut was a must.
These are the images the prophet will see when he assigns
Gigs a mission, so he needs to look distinguished.
When he returned from cutting his hair, he was upset
having lost his mane.
He went upstairs and hid.
Then, when Brittany, our photographer, showed up at the house, he had
to be a big boy, style his hair, smile, and be a man.
He put on his suit with his "Crockenstocks," a term I created.
These are popular sandals in the Nielson home; they are Birkenstocks
made from Crocs material.
Then, he seemed to feel more confident.
Ultimately, he understands his reasons for cutting his hair.
He firmly believes in his mission for the Lord and is entirely willing.
And, as we all know, change is hard.
