Tonight, we celebrated the beautiful Scandinavian holiday,
St. Lucia Day.
The holiday of light!
This is one of our most favorite traditions.
This year, the role of Lucia went to Jane,
who has never been home for Christmas at Stillestead.
I spent the morning setting up the table
and began cooking.
Dinner:
Citrus Salmon and Parsley
Fried Small Potatoes with butter and Parsley
Pickled Cucumbers and Onions
Fruit with Vanilla Coconut Syrup
Butter Rolls with Jams and Jelly's
Then we had a little visit from a new Christmas character, Elvin,
coming to a Nielson tradition on December 23rd!
But tonight belonged to Lucia!

Lucia delivered Guglhup Cheese Danishes with
Spiced Wassel
