Late this afternoon, we went out to dinner with Claire
before she headed back to school.
It's been so lovely having her home. I miss her, and I
miss our conversations together.
This weekend, we really got into it.
We talked about school, aspirations, boys, and boys.
We call, text, and video chat, but nothing is the same
as having her physically close.
We went to Chopt, her favorite restaurant, and then to Chick-fil-A for a shake.

she was off, back on the road.
Her birthday is on Tuesday, and I know she's a big girl now,
but I wish I could bring cookies to her classroom
like I used to for so many years so many years ago.
