Yesterday, Christian and I spoke at a women's conference.
I must have hugged a hundred women after, and I loved them all!
We visited the Portland temple (blurry selfie).
Something about being out of town and spotting the temple
is so comforting.
The best way I can describe this feeling is
like a warm blanket just out of the dryer wrapped around you.
When you're homesick.
And sick.
It's the best feeling.
Today, we visited the Home Offices of Barre3.
I love Barre3!
It was nice to be so warmly welcomed and greeted
by some of the team!
Portland has good places to eat.
It's been so fun.
From my talk...
I believe that our symbolic mountains, with their inherent challenges,
are beneficial for us because we have been equipped
with the tools to handle and overcome things we recognize as extremely difficult.
These challenges will improve us, our lives, and our
decision-making abilities.
They will also help us grow, develop empathy, and cultivate
love
for ourselves and others.
Some mountains in life tempt us,
terrify us, test us, and try us. They stretch us, break us
down,
and can sometimes even bring us to a frustrating standstill.
But they also ignite
something in our hearts and souls.
They can speak to us, inspire us, build our faith, and
give us hope and
determination with every step we take…small or big.
I love the children’s song,
“He Prepares A Way,” by Angie Killian and Blake
Gillette.
“He prepares a way when we follow Him.
I’ll walk with faith and trust His light
within.
He’s my star in the sky, my compass, my guide.
He prepares a way for me.”
