(I Hate) Leaving On a Jet Plane

 It's not that I hate traveling; I just hate flying.

Today, Christian and I flew to Oregon, but first, we took the 

Nies to get lunch. Lucky for all of us, Claire was able to come down and stay

with Gigs and Lottie for the week, we're away (thank you, Zoom classes!).

I think having her around will be a much better experience for everyone.

Lottie spent a good portion of lunch using the face app to make us all laugh.

Here are my favorites:

Before we boarded to our first stop in Atlanta, I bought myself

a North Carolina sweatshirt because I was freezing.

Our flight attendant recognized me and Christian

(my face is pretty unforgettable ;) from that time, we were on Oprah.

I was shocked.  

That was a long time ago.

Also, early this morning, our dearest friend, Dr. Craig, completed the 

Maryland Ironman and the Nies, Christian, and I 

closely followed his progress with the tracker app.

He was amazing!

Literally seconds before we boarded our plane to Oregon from Atlanta,

we watched his little red dot cross the finish line

coming in 19th in his age group.

AMAZING!

This trip will be so lovely; I just have

to get the flying part over with.
