A few days ago, Christian took the Nies to Linville Gorge
in the beautiful mountains for a backpacking trip.

From the prep to the hike to the camping spot,
to the food (that Jane prepared and put it in a freezer drier),
the cozy pond they had all to themselves, fishing, the Nie-Pee
and the weather.
Everything was amazing.
Or, so I was told.

Meanwhile, back at home, I had a wonderful time alone
as I prepared for our upcoming Back to School Feast on
the 22nd. It was complete and utter bliss.
If you can't tell, I love my family,
but I sure love being alone, too.
