We spent the day gathering supplies for our family backpacking trip,
which happens to be one of the last items on Jane's Hot Girl Summer list.
Packs, sleeping bags, boots, clothes, fishing poles,
and food were all spread out in the kitchen and living room.
I've decided to stay back on this trip. I have so much work to do,
and I'll actually enjoy four days of uninterrupted work.
Plus, someone needs to feed the cows, goats, chickens
(including the new chicks), all of Nicholas's critters upstairs,
Kitty and, of course, Angus.
Not to mention watering the garden and mowing the lawn.
We went to bed around midnight, leaving the mess for the morning.
