Clane is in Maine with their friend, Annie.
(We met Annie when she and Jane both received their endowment
in the Raleigh temple on the same day in April 2022).
They are having the best time in storybook Maine by the seaside,
kayaking in the ocean, visiting historical lighthouses, eating lots of ice cream
(Annie works at an ice cream shop), relaxing, and last Sunday, they
visited New Hampshire, where Claire served her mission for a few
months until Covid restrictions were lifted
and she could travel out of the country to her original assignment, Brazil.
I think the girls are easing me (and Lod) into the inevitable abrupt
ending when they go to school next month.
