Today, as Sunday climbed all over my lap while I worked
on my computer and
I kept thinking about Taylor Swift's song, Karma.
"Sweet like honey, karma is a cat
Purring in my lap 'cause it loves me..."
Later this evening, after dinner, Jane and I
went for a walk. (Yes, I left Sunday home!)
We talked about summer and school plans and how
she and Claire are just DYING to go to Brazil to a friend's wedding.
I don't know if they will be able to squeeze that international trip into
their summer, but they did book a flight to Maine to visit
their cute friend, Annie.
They're really excited about that!
The lives of my daughters are closely connected to each other and to mine,
yet they also have their own distinct paths.
It's a beautiful experience to be here for it, and all the
choices, joy, grief, change, and seasons.
No one knows exactly what's around the corner,
but I do know that whatever it is,
God is there, guiding and leading them. And me.
