Sister Nielson has hit her SIX MONTH MARK!
To me, it feels like forever!
(But I didn't want to say that to her on the phone when
we spoke last since that could have potentially made her homesick).
She shared with us a photo that she had taken when we said
goodbye to her at the airport.
Man, I miss her!
She wrote in a recent Facebook post:
In the message of the First Presidency in the book Preach My Gospel,
we receive a promise that we will experience great joy when we serve the Lord.
′′ We want to greet you for the great opportunity you have to be a missionary
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
There is no work more motivating than this, nor is one that brings greater satisfaction.
′′ The Lord will reward and bless you immensely as you serve
Him with humility and a praying spirit. A greater happiness
than ever felt awaits you when working with the children of Heavenly Father."
This week, I completed 6 months of service to the
Lord as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
During this time, I had the privilege of serving on two missions:
the mission of New Hampshire Manchester, and the Brazil Vitória mission.
I'm grateful for all the people I could meet, for all the memories, and above all,
for the great opportunity to serve my Savior, Jesus Christ.
I really could feel great joy during my service, and I'm excited to
continue serving Christ this coming year.
′′ Won't we continue in such a great cause? Go forward, not backward
Courage, and onward, forward to victory!"
