On the eve of Mother's Day, I felt inspired to send an e-mail
to all the sisters in the ward and ask them to reach out to another
sister in our congregation with an uplifting text, phone call, or visit.
I was grateful for the inspiration I had and hope it made an impact on
someone's heart this Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day to you, my ward sisters!
I am so thankful for each and every one of you, for who you are,
what you do, and how you contribute to our Relief Society circle.
I love these words by Sheri Dew: "Look around.
Who needs you and your influence? If we really want to make a difference,
it will happen as we mother those we have borne and those we are willing to bear with."
We have a sacred responsibility to look after each other and since
we all need encouragement, love, and acceptance, let's do this for each other.
Would each of you please prayerfully pick another sister
in our ward to text or call sometime tomorrow?
She doesn't have to be your assigned ministering sister, in fact,
it would be nice if she wasn't. (Even better, send a message to both!).
Who pops in your head? Send her a message!
Pick a sister who you admire or think about, or who you'd
like to get to know, or pick a sister who you know could use
encouragement or a friendly message and tell them why you love them.
This simple easy act will only take a few minutes of your
time and reaching out will unite us closer together in our ward family,
as sisters, mothers, and women in Christ
I love you! Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
I received several super nice, undeserving messages from sisters.
I know I felt blessed.
