After a gut-full of Zoom meetings with Lottie, we took a break
and made a domino stack game with books, marbles,
spoons, string, tape, and Halloween blocks.
Then we decided to go investigate some bushes
across the street that had dropped all
of its flowers onto the ground making it look like it had snowed.
We also went for a walk around our neighborhood admiring the leaves
that are beginning to change into bright yellows, oranges, and reds
and making everything so colorful and lovely.
Along our walk, Lottie brought up a few
hot topics to discuss like global warming and the presidential race.
Cheers!
Later in the afternoon, we went to the library quartine pickup line
to finally get a book that Lottie has wanted since summer!
(She's had her head in the pages since).
Before dinner, I lounged on the couch with the Nies to discuss their
Halloween costumes and
Jane made cinnamon and sugar rolled-up tortillas.
A favorite Nielson snack.
To finish up our day, I read a few Halloween books to
Lottie on the front porch swing while the boys
passed the football to each other on the lawn, and Jane took a nap in the sun.
Then I came inside and turned on the TV to watch the news, and begin dinner.
With only 20 days until the election, I've been super interested in watching.
I usually always go to bed so grateful for a living prophet whose
counsel is clear, true, and comforting instead of what I
hear in the news which is pretty much everything opposite.
And that sums up my day.
