Claire in the parking lot just as she was getting off work.
The three of us went out to dinner and talked about her new job.
I remembered when I was a teenager and used to
work at the cafe in Barnes and Noble
sometimes my parents would come to pick me up on my lunch break and
take me down the street to Wendy's or somewhere to eat.
When the time came to go back to work I'd ask my dad to just keep driving around
(maybe just head on home?). He wouldn't take me home but instead, he'd
make one more loop around the parking lot and pump me up.
I can just hear him now, "Oh darlin' you'll be home before you know it."
This weekend Jane and I will visit Claire at work but we'll probably hide
behind the racks and watch her help customers and smile with her
eyes (because she's wearing a mask).
Once she gets off work the three of us will get dinner and then
I bet we head into Bath and Body Works to smell the new delicious fall candles.
Since being back in school- especially homeschool/virtual school,
I LIVE for the weekends-- I think we all do!
I love this photo from January 1st as we're all gathered
around our table writing our New Year Goals.
This year has been kind of the worst...BUT the year is not over yet,
and we still have a lot of successes and wins to get!!

"We, in fact, often find our faith deepened and our relationship
with Heavenly Father and His Son refined in adversity...the Savior,
the Master Healer, has the power to change our hearts and give
us permanent relief from the sorrow caused by our own sin."
