Twelve is a big birthday for a boy in
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
because worthy boys may receive the Aaronic Priesthood,
and become a Deacon.
"The office of the Aaronic Priesthood is given to a boy and is
ordained a deacon when he is 12 years of age or older.
Some of a deacon’s responsibilities are to pass the sacrament
and collect fast offerings from the members.
As they worthily fulfill their duties, they act in the name
of the Lord to help others receive the blessings of the gospel".

Nicholas was ordained a deacon by Christian in our home on
Sunday afternoon surrounded by our family,
church leaders, and other boys his age.
(And Mr. Bones).
I am so proud of him, he is a good boy with so much light
and love in his little heart.
His special day included:
Lunch with Oliver and dad.
A visit to the motorcycle store.
Boba smoothies.
Ebiskivers for breakfast.
Angel Food cake with candles.
Presents.
After this photo, I made him put on the traditional birthday crown.
