Summer books

With all the wonderful North Carolina summer storms
we've been having, it's given us ample moments to sit down and read
my favorite children's books with the Little Nies (mostly Lottie).
Here are some of my favorites:

This is an oldie but a goodie.
My mom read this book to me (actually, we sang it together)
when I was a little girl almost daily.
It reminds me of my kindergarten teacher and
listening to this book repeatedly on our 8-track player.

I love everything about Emily Winfield Maxwell. Amen.

Looking in windows is one of my very favorite things to do.
That sounded super creepy.
But I love homes lit up and people inside
living with all their stuff. It's cozy.

The dress is beautifully written by my good friend Camille Andros
and has significant meaning in our world right now.
And the pictures are gorgeous!

Again, another book about houses, traditions, seasons,
and the people who live inside. I love.

This book reminds me of myself at the end of August when
I am ready for the cooler weather and change.
So many treasures in the pictures in this book.

I bought the book for our new adventures in North Carolina
where lighthouses dwell.
Lighthouses are mysterious and magical.
This book is darling and perfectly romantic!

I hope I can wait to bring out our Halloween books
 until the end of September.
But I probably won't be able to wait
and they will be out at the end of August.

This is a perfect book to ease into the Autumn with:

You're welcome!
