TWO weeks

Today we are returning to the ranch after a beautiful stay in Provo.
A BIG thanks to Mom and Dad for letting
us crash their home for the last 2 weeks.
And when I say "crash," I mean really mean CRASH.
We invaded every livable space with our bodies,
  stuff, and dog.
I am very grateful my children are doing BYUI and home school.
We have been able to stay on top of everything
amidst the traveling and changes.

We have some big changes happening in our very near future.
Next week, we are headed to Arizona for surgery where
I am regrettably having my pinkie amputated and
other skin releases on various parts of my body.
I am not necessarily looking forward to
living in Arizona for however long the surgery and recovery will take
in the blazing heat, but I'll be with Lindsay
so it really won't be too bad.
Speaking of Lindsay, she and Spencer and their boys
drove the 10 hours from Arizona last week, so they
could see me receive my Honorary Doctorate.
What amazing, wonderful friends they are!
The rest of the week was spent together hanging out
in Salt Lake City to visit museums, Church history sites, and
Temple Square. We also spent a good amount of time
driving around town to find good treats and, of course, eating out.
Also, Lindsay taught me how to administer insulin
to their 8-year-old son Baron, who has type 1 diabetes.
You know, just in case anything should happen.
She could count on me.

Once I said to my brother Jesse ONE month before my
airplane accident that, if anything
should happen to me that I wanted him to care for my children.
  So really, you never know.

Hopefully, next week I will better grasp all
the changes we are making with the job, home, ranch, and surgeries.
For now, I will look at these photos and relish the friendships with
family and friends that I so graciously have been given.

Teachings from RMN:
"I fear that there are too many priesthood bearers who
have done little or nothing to develop their ability to access
the powers of heaven. I worry about all who are impure in their thoughts,
feelings, or actions or who demean their wives or children,
thereby cutting off priesthood power."
