Halloween:
What a wonderful, glorious day!
This afternoon, we took the Little Nies into
Justin Hackworth's studio to get their Halloween photos taken.
We've been doing this for years!
I love this tradition!
Clane was Jenny and Patsy from the BBC show Call the Midwife.
Oliver was a skeleton.
Nicholas was the inflatable dinosaur and
I nearly wet my pants watching him inside the suit.
And Lottie was Shimmer with her best friend Ada, who was Shine.
I'll post the photos Justin took asap.
This was the first year I didn't go trick-or-treating with my kids.
Jane and her best friend, Hannah, took siblings around the
neighborhood trick-or-treating while I made chili at my Mom's house.
Mr. Nielson tried a new delicious homemade root beer recipe
(sans dry ice because every grocery store was sold out).
The Little Nies came home, dumped their
candy on the floor, and traded treats.
(I cleaned up on the Tootsie Rolls because no one likes those except me).
It got late, so we cleaned up the house, made a fire in the living room,
and changed into our pajamas. Then we started watching
season two of Stranger Things.
Eventually, everyone fell asleep except for me.
I wasn't scared or anything...
