On Tuesday, Mr. Nielson and I took our children to the funeral of one of
the finest, most talented burn surgeon we know, Dr. Caruso.
In fact, Dr. Caruso isn't just any burn surgeon; he is the surgeon
whose capable and wise hands saved our lives.
I was proud to share with others who attended the service that
Charlotte was here today because Dr. Caruso saved my life.
The little Nies are thriving today because both of their parents were preserved
by this good man and the other doctors and nurses at the burn center in Arizona.
I will be forever honored to have known him.
His funeral was a beautiful tribute to his life.
He will be missed by so many.
He was a wonderful man and an excellent doctor, and I do believe
that one day I will see him again.
Dr. Caruso's passing is heartbreaking, and at his funeral, he brought together
so many wonderful friends.
I got to see and hug so many of the other
I got to see and hug so many of the other
doctors and nurses who aided in my recovery, many of whom
I have become dear, dear friends with them.
I have become dear, dear friends with them.
Happy Weekend.
