Sundays

Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week.

We celebrate the day by attending church, 

worshiping God, and taking things slow. 

We read from the scriptures, nap, and listen to beautiful music.

We write in our journals and have quiet time alone.  

Today, I spent an hour playing "baby dolls" with Lottie
in front of a warm fire while the snow fell outside. It was so cozy. 

Another reason I love this day is the evening meal

when I invite a different sibling and my parents 

to enjoy good food and time together.

Last night, we had my brother Andrew and his family over.  

 Mr. Nielson makes a delicious vegetarian spread, and I
contribute by making the salad and rolls.

 After dinner, we sit, talk, laugh, and reminisce about the good

old times when we were young, like shooting BB guns inside the 

house or sneaking to the basement

to eat jello from the box in our food storage.
