It's that time of year again: time for school pictures and
elementary school fundraising!
Lottie's school hosts the "fun run" and each child is encouraged
to collect pledges from family, friends, and neighbors per lap the child runs.
The kids ran their laps outside on the soccer field in the deadly humid heat.
And just like last year, it was hot, it was cute,
it was chaotic, but it was so inspiring!

With each lap Lottie's little face got redder and redder,
and with each lap the lump I had in my throat got bigger and bigger.
I loved watching Lottie run her little heart out!
37 high-fives later, Lottie had successfully met her running goal.
Mr. Nielson and I checked her out of school
for the rest of the day, and took her to lunch.
She totally earned it.
