The Nielson family started a new tradition this year:
Lille Julaften, or Danish Christmas, which is celebrated on December 23rd.
My home was warm and magical, and the evening was memorable.
Our dear friends Wesley and Lyndsay Johnson joined us.
We ate such delicious authentic Danish food,
thanks to Wes, who served his mission in Denmark years ago.
Menu below:
Æbleskivers
Rísalamande (Almond/Rice Porridge with Cherry Sauce on top).
Frikadelle- {not for the Nielsons though}
Red Cabbage
Sukkerbrunede kartofler - carmelized potatoes
And Martinelli's- of course.
Mr. Nielson and Wes did most of the cooking.
Meanwhile, I made and decorated gingerbread houses with the
children downstairs.
This May, Mr. Nielson and I are traveling to Denmark with the Nielson
family for the Boss and Mary's 50th wedding anniversary.
I am so excited!
